Pocket Door Frame Kits

Make more room with a door that slides into the wall. HBP frame kits provide sturdy support and smooth operation for home remodels and new construction.

Choose your 2 × 4 or 2 × 6 wall framing, select a single or double door, then pick your hardware option.

Start with the right measurements

Confirm your door width, height, thickness and weight, along with your wall framing and available opening.

Soft Close / Soft Open: 70 lb minimum door weight. Do not select these features for lighter doors; they will not activate the mechanism. Check the weight limit for your selected hardware before ordering.

Built for strength and smooth operation

Included with your kit

  • Rust-resistant galvanized steel studs.
  • Solid wood header attached to a heavy-duty track.
  • Hardware for your selected operating option.
  • Hidden steel door guide with nylon guides, mounted behind the pocket door jambs. Options for 1 3/8- or 1 3/4-inch-thick doors.

Double-door kits also include a converging kit to join two single frames, with stops to keep the doors from passing the center.

Match the hardware to the door weight

  • 4-wheel ball-bearing hangers: up to 250 lb.
  • Soft Close / Soft Open: 70–220 lb.
  • EZ Closer: up to 170 lb.

For combined features, use the lower applicable weight limit. Confirm the specifications on the selected product page.

Order by the size of each door

Use the actual door width and height. For double doors, do not add the two door widths together.

One 36 × 80-inch door:
